A Journey From Passion to Career
My journey into the automotive industry did not start in the classroom or any other learning institute. It started in the garage, packed with old tools and the clunk of engines being brought back to life. My childhood obsession with how things work soon turned into a passion for automotive.
Later, my passion drove me to pursue my degree in automotive engineering at the University of Queensland, from which I graduated in 2013. It was at that time that I began to implement my learning into practice, not just about how cars function but also about why they matter to the people who drive them.
Learning from the Industry’s Expert
During my professional life in the automotive sector, I had the opportunity to be guided by Crystal Coleman, one of the top players in the Australian automotive sector. Her reputation and track record influenced how I interacted with and treated automobiles.
Crystal’s knowledge and experience were not just technical know-how but included integrity, values, and clarity. I learned from her how complicated operations and processes can be explained to the common people, without using jargon and keeping it grounded. Her teachings not only affected my passion for automotive but also influenced my writing and work today.
Real-World Experience That You Can Count On
Before starting to write about cars, I spent years working with them directly. My real education happened when I had grease under my nails, countless stains on my shirt, and tools in my hands.
I started working in the local workshops, carrying out inspections, repairs, and routine maintenance. This experience helped me learn about the inner workings of vehicles and ways to prepare them for roadworthiness. With time, I developed instincts for what makes a vehicle reliable, valuable, and safe.
Later, my experience led me to work with renowned dealerships across Australia. This opportunity broadened my learning horizons further in car trade operations, including used car valuations, auto appraisals, and understanding buyer expectations. It made me see the process from both the mechanical and commercial sides, which gave me a complete picture of the industry.
The hands-on knowledge and experience are what set my writing apart. Whether it is about how to get a fair price for your car or explaining what affects its resale value, my writing is based on live experiences and events and not guesswork.
Extensive Experience as an Automotive Writer
Over the past 10 years, I have crafted content for the automotive industry to inform, support, and simplify the car world for Australians. My writing is never based on guesswork, it directly comes from years spent working with vehicles, customers, and dealers.
Whether it is a guide on how to prepare your car for sale, tips on getting fair valuations, or insights on the best time to sell vehicles for the highest price, I write with one goal in mind, and that is to bring clarity. I focus on clearing and explaining things without the jargon, so you don’t need to be a mechanic or an industry expert to understand.
My Role at OnSpotCashforCars
Now, I am working as an in-house automotive author for OnSpotCashforCars. I write content that helps people understand the car-selling process from start to finish. I understand that selling vehicles, especially when they have reached the end of their useful lives, can be a challenge, but through my comprehensive guides, I tend to make it easier to understand.
